About Us
Our Focus on Photography camps have won mentions by many Edmond newsletters, News Channel 25, Pay it Forward on Channel 4, Metro Family Magazine favorite in 2019. We were finalists for the Beacon Award by the Journal Record in 2020, winning a gold seal from our Oklahoma Governor.

Our Story
CVAA started photography classes in the parks to connect children in a positive way. Our Focus on Photography programs started in 2009 and over the years have flourished to inspire so many children.
Want to know something else so super cool?! Over the years our students do better in school and social groups. Our teachers are even our grown up students.

Questions & Answers
Your child does not need a camera. Most want to bring their own, even if it is a smart phone camera. A strap on the camera is advised and please erase personal pictures from SD cards before sending to class. We do provide DSLR cameras to use when needed, but they tend to be heavy.
Yes! When in doubt just send a lunch or snack especially during day camps. We recommend 2 snacks, lunch, and water bottle. PLEASE NO RASPBERRIES-due to allergies. No, we teach many different elements of Visual Arts such as crafting, animation, mixed media projects, painting, drawing, state history, and community; all focusing around photography. In the week long camps we will experience everything mentioned above in a really fun way!
Something that can get dirty and walking shoes. We visit Bickham-Redkin Park playgrounds and go on photography walks in Whispering Hills Park connected to our 3500 S. Blvd property in Edmond.
We really attempt to keep the kids clean during art activities with aprons and hand washing, but they tend to get dirty.
Guardian must walk in when dropping off and picking up child to classes. It is for your child's safety. Please read your booking date for location; programs such as the Meet Me at the Movies/Museum meet at the location.
We are not here to advise or judge parents.
Teachers and staff are currently vaccinated; our policies are to social distance with washing of hands. Our classroom policy is to disinfect everything multiple times a day and also use an air filter in class. Depending on covid-19 cases at the time, we will temperature check at the door during check in and require masks indoors.
We ask all parents and students to follow mask policies inside museums, theater trips, and inside of our building common areas. Our classrooms have air filters to remain mask optional, but it depends strictly on state covid cases. We will not require masks on any outdoor activities.
Please fill out the Epic application form in the description of all the classes listed. All of our classes and different programs qualify. You must have the funds available at the time of application. refunds/exchanges are allowed 48 hours prior to event. Summer programs need to be enrolled and invoiced to Epic.
Our program welcomes all students. Classes are based on age groups. Public school, all home schooling, charter students, and out-of-state. We are excited to announce that we have purchased a mini bus from the Edmond Public Schools for our local commutes. If we are leaving for longer out-of-town trips; we will rent a 15 passenger van fully maintained by Enterprise.
Yes, we are the exact same program that was at the Mitch Park MAC Center. We found a BEAUTIFUL new location with 2 Edmond Parks, fishing pond, trails, and the Margaret Annis Boys Centennial Arboretum in our back yard! Starting March 1st, 2022 we will be at our new location 3500 S. Blvd instead of the Mac Center.
We joined forces with Thunder Explorers to create a fun tutoring class. Classes are starting soon for 4-6 grade.
We also received a letter from the Oklahoma Governor and the Gold State Seal.

We raise money to donate as a group to local activities with the children. In 2019 we donated an Ambucs AmTryke with a local fundraiser. The children learned so much taking pictures, witnessing the little girl receive her AmTryke, and learning about how it will help with her disabilities. 2020 We helped distribute gardening seeds with the Kahlo Foundation. 2023 We were Visionaries of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. (pictured) Together the 2023 candidates raised a combined $133,00 for LLS. We also are stewards of the Edmond Mini Food Pantry & Reading Library located at 300 Hadwiger Lane Edmond, Ok.
